  • Do I need previous tree service experience or certification to own a Monster Tree Service franchise?

    No prior landscaping, gardening, or tree care experience is required! Our priority is finding entrepreneurs with strong work ethics, management and communication skills, and a commitment to our system. Our business training program enables all our franchise owners to enter the tree service industry without prior experience! Additionally, we also welcome existing tree service businesses looking to convert to Monster Tree Service as well!

    Certain certification may be required by your state and/or municipality regulations. Our team will assist franchise owners through that process as required.

  • What kind of training will I receive as a Monster Tree Service franchise owner?

    A comprehensive two-week initial training program encompasses all facets of the business and includes support for the Grand Opening. A business coach will also spend one week onsite during the launch process.

    Continuous assistance is provided through a dedicated business coach, monthly webinars, town halls, and regional coaching sessions are also provided.

    Franchise owners also benefit from an arborist training resource, an annual conference, and periodic onsite visits to provide consistent support. Additionally, monthly business review calls with an assigned business coach are conducted as outlined in the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) for detailed guidance. Each region is assigned an operations partner for tailored support.

  • Can I operate this business from my home?

    Our business operations team trains new owners on what works best and how to find the best option for their business. Franchise owners can operate the office portion of the business from their home, however, it is recommended to use a “yard” facility to store equipment and run day to day operations.

  • Does it take a lot of equipment to operate a Monster Tree Service?

    We will provide a standard equipment package recommendation to all franchise owners, including trucks, chipper, loader, trailer, and a multitude of smaller tools. The package utilizes Monster Tree’s purchasing power as a national brand. See Item 7 of our current FDD for more information.

  • How long does it take to open a franchise with Monster Tree Service?

    The timeline from signing the franchise agreement to opening is 3 to 9 months. Some factors which may affect this timing are your ability to acquire a storage facility through lease negotiations, your ability to secure any necessary financing, your ability to comply with local zoning and other ordinances, your ability to obtain any necessary licenses, permits and certifications, the timing of the delivery of equipment, tools and inventory, the time of year you execute a Franchise Agreement in relation to the typical customer demand for services provided by the Franchised Business, and the time to convert, renovate or build the storage facility.   • What kind of support is provided to franchise owners?

    At Monster Tree Service, our Home Service Franchise Owners are provided with marketing, operational, sales & retention areas of support. Additionally, financial support which includes KPI’s and financial metrics analysis systems that are offered. Additionally, continuous assistance is provided through a dedicated business coach, monthly webinars, town halls, and regional coaching sessions are also provided.

    The business coach supports franchise owners through onboarding, launch. Additionally they provide weekly check-ins, monthly business review calls, and periodic onsite visits. Franchise owners also have access to plant health care training, vendor relations, national and local marketing support.

  • What services do Monster Tree Service franchises offer?

    One of the best things about franchising with Monster Tree Service is our dedication to ensuring that franchise owners have access to multiple income possibilities. Aside from being a respected residential and commercial tree service franchise, our franchise owners are also encouraged to add plant health care to their repertoire.

    General tree care services include tree removal, pruning, and stump grinding.

    Monster Tree Service also offers plant health care including disease and insect control, soil health, and fertilization, along with environmental issues and invasive species solutions.

  • Do you offer protected territories?

    Yes, all Monster Tree Service territories are protected. You will be granted a territory in which to sell the services you are authorized to sell under the Franchise Agreement. Your Territory is based on demographics and other characteristics including population density, average income and other characteristics of the surrounding area, natural boundaries, extent of competition and the amount and size of urban, suburban and rural areas.

  • How do I determine if a territory is good for tree care?

    Monster Tree Service evaluates the best territory options for tree care services for our franchise owners.
